About

Welcome to the Cancer Biology Program at the University of Michigan. Our program was established in 2010 with the recognition that defeating cancer would require teaching students new ways to think about the biology of this disease. We have therefore structured the program to provide every student with:

  • foundational knowledge in the variety of biological disciplines that comprise cancer biology
  • tailored additional coursework based on the student's interests
  • critical thinking skills
  • research experience

Our goal is to challenge each student to meet her full potential and achieve her career goals, whether those be in academia, industry, or elsewhere.

Please explore this site to learn more about our faculty, our current students, and their research interests and many accomplishments. I hope that you will sense the the excitement we all feel as we strive to train the next generation of leaders in the fight against cancer.
